For this reason, the European Village at the Day of Sport had multiple offers! Austrian and European sports organizations invited visitors to participate and inform themselves about where they can #BeActive during the European Week of Sport. Visitors could challenge themselves in CrossFit, cross-run and crossgolf and try out fitness equipment, check their fitness level by completing the European Fitness Badge and test their sports knowledge at the #BeActive Quiz with #BeActive Ambassador Andreas Onea.

The European Village was part of the 18th Day of Sport. More than 120 sports associations and organizations invited visitors to join, try out and inform themselves and numerous sport stars were available for selfies and autographs.
The Opening Ceremony of the 2018 European Week of Sport was an event of the European Commission in cooperation with the Austrian Federal Ministry of Civil Service and Sport. The European Village was organized by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Civil Service and Sport and the Austrian Sports Organization as National Coordinator of the European Week of Sport in Austria.
